Manager II , Data Analytics - Walmart Business
While it's important that Walmart continues to drive the day-to-day business and focuses on serving our customers today, it's also critical we're looking ahead to the customer and business needs of tomorrow. The New Business Development team is a newly created group designed to do just that. This venture is a multi-billion-dollar opportunity rooted in leveraging existing Walmart assets, building new capabilities, innovating business models, and laying the groundwork for a sizeable new business.
Walmart is currently seeking a Manager I I , Data Analytics to play a unique role supporting a new business-spanning business, demand, customer, site, assortment, pricing and supply chain analytics. The position will be deeply engaged in the development of our business strategy; they will ensure both that our decisions are data driven, and that we architect our products to gather (the right) data throughout the customer journey.
The individual in this capacity will have top notch data and analytical skills, an ability to connect data to business questions or objectives, and strong people skills. This person will support all things data related: identify data sources, support quality checks, report out on data trends and findings , analyze data , solv e complex problems using data insights , and tell / visualize the story behind the data in powerful ways . Someone who is a self-starter , and passionate about discovering and solving complicated problems, learning complex systems, working with numbers, and organizing and communicating data and reports will be successful in this role.

The annual salary range for this position is $120,000.00-$180,000.00

You'll make an impact by:
- Working effectively with our Go to Market, Business, Product, Design, Technology, and Data teams to understand our strategy and operating model and translate that into the right analytic approaches, data requirements and data models
- Bringing data to inform our strategic and operational decision making
- Driving complex data and trend analyses to root cause issues and propose improvements
- Designing and conducting A/B and multi-variate tests by developing test plans, defining success metrics, analyzing and transforming data into actionable insights
Defining, developing and communicating key metrics and business trends- Helping us to architect our experiences to collect the right data to strengthen our business
- Operating with agility while effectively leveraging corporate structure to achieve goals
- Gaining support from the broader Walmart enterprise by engaging with cross-functional teams, leadership, and key stakeholders
- Automating data and analytic solutions at scale
You'll sweep us off our feet if...
- You operate with customer centricity at the forefront
- You have experience working in multiple business areas / functions / segments at Walmart and understand Walmart's data infrastructure and data products
- You have a strong understanding of statistics and advanced analytics with applied experience on analyzing large data sets
- You have strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
You have sound knowledge of managing data for experiments (sampling, labelling, EDA, etc.)- You have experience with experimental design and A/B testing
- You have strong skills in Python, R, SQL and Hive queries
- You have experience transforming/automating data within cloud architectures ( ie . Google Cloud Platform)
- You have hands on experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, R Shiny, and/or Looker
You have strong people and communication skills- You can work effectively with internal stakeholders, including data scientists and data engineers
- You are curious, proactive and comfortable working in unstructured environments
