The Data Operations team delivers trusted data to enable the launch & supply of products to our customers. Our key accountabilities include governance and maintenance of the Data Operations Framework; delivering a regulated and compliant data environment; using intelligent automation, workflow, process improvements, cross-segment expertise, and third-party suppliers to improve quality, timeliness, cost, and effort across Supply Chain; applying deep end-to-end knowledge and subject matter expertise to define, shape and implement supply chain strategies; and cultivating talent as a distinctive capability.

Data Operations Manager will coordinate the day-to-day operations to support the strategy of the function across franchises/business units in the MedTech segment. Will be accountable for the data design and mapping of the S4 solution by providing subject matter expertise in the master data space. Will lead the development of solutions to sophisticated problems, exercising independent judgment to make decisions which directly impact the operational results of the department and Project Transcend journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This individual will be the primary business facing individual to ensure overall material master data readiness and solution design development for Project GET.
  • Own the departmental talent strategy. Evaluate opportunities for training, development & onboarding activities. Develop methods for evaluating effectiveness of training programs related to developmental goals and business outcomes.
  • Utilize metrics, dashboards, and tracking to facilitate the efficient operations of department and/or project-based teams.
  • Own third party vendor relationship(s) for project-based resources. May develop, implement, and maintain third party playbook and protocols. Lead business reviews and other third-party governance & operational meetings as required.
  • Participate in enterprise-wide cross-functional forums that may include Procurement, Finance, HR/Talent Development, and Supply Chain.
  • Lead, develop, and retain talent through coaching and engagement. Provide mentorship, direction, development planning, and performance feedback in accordance with J&J Career Management processes.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent University degree is required.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 8 years related work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of data management experience in the context of large ERP platforms
  • A relevant mix of global, regional, cross-sector/industry experience
  • Strong business and technical knowledge and understanding of all Supply Chain data elements, process, and organizational support models
  • MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships, influence multiple partners, and establish common goals and objectives without sacrificing outcomes
  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives within timelines, in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Ability to lead and influence direct and project teams

Preferred Skills:

  • People Management experience
  • SAP and/or JDE system knowledge
  • Proficiency with Winshuttle
  • Experience in Data Quality
  • Experience leading workstreams and/or project teams for large, global programs
  • Management of third-party suppliers

Other:

  • May require up to 10% travel

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $97,000-$166,750. The base salary range listed is based on a US pay scale and may be adjusted based on the successful candidate’s geographic location.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
