Manager of Clinical Coordination

The Manager of Clinical Coordination is responsible for leading a team of individuals responsible for securing, maintaining, and evaluating clinical sites for diverse and robust program experiences within the School of Nursing. The Manager of Clinical Coordination promotes and supports the vision and mission of the Nursing program at the University. The incumbent is expected to assist creating processes to establish and maintain professional relationships inside and outside of the organization, regularly representing the University and the core values of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements the strategic plan for nursing clinical coordination across the University.
  • Manages a growing team of Clinical Coordinators and supports their day-to-day functions through mentorship, coaching and regular 1:1s
  • Conducts reviews and performance measurements as scheduled.
  • Posts, interviews, hires and onboards new Clinical Coordinators as needed.
  • Identify areas of improvement and work with cross functional leaders to implement best clinical coordination practices.
  • Develops effective business relationships and facilitates clear communication with clinical leadership.
  • Establishes and builds relationships with healthcare facilities and potential adjunct faculty. Collaborates with Nursing leadership to identify clinical experiences that are evidence-based; reflect contemporary practices and nationally established patient health and safety goals; while supporting the achievement of the end-of-program student learning outcomes.
  • Reviews written agreements for clinical practice agencies to ensure they are current, specify expectations for all parties, and ensure the protection of students.
  • Reviews evaluation findings related to clinical experiences and report them to Nursing leadership.
  • Creates a standard practice to collect, document and communicate all required student programmatic paperwork according to facility and University programmatic policies with the campuses.
  • Collaborates with the campus staff to communicate student clinical placement and submit required documentation.
  • Tracks and maintains all community-based activities in Salesforce as appropriate, utilizing the Clinical Tracking Tool as the primary database for clinical activities and documents of record.
  • Works collaboratively across program, school, and campus in order to maximize community clinical relationships for Rasmussen stakeholders.
  • Participates in campus, community and professional events to represent Rasmussen University to students, professional organizations, community alliances, and other relevant constituencies within the communities.
  • Maintains and monitors active, clinical partnership agreements in order to ensure sustained and non-interrupted student access to sites. Work collaboratively with the Business Development team to ensure contract compliance.
  • Assists Nursing leadership with data collection related to the achievement of the end-of-program student learning outcomes directly related to clinical learning experiences.

Reporting Relationship:

The Manager of Clinical Coordination reports to the Vice President of Workforce Solutions. This role also collaborates with area-based Nursing Leadership on clinical needs for the Program(s). This role has direct reports.

Requirements

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of customer service or sales experience, with preference given to those with experience in clinical coordination.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and independent project oversight.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Able to implement problem solving skills and meet deadlines consistently.
