Mammography Technologist Supervisor

New York Imaging (NYI), provides a comprehensive range of cutting-edge diagnostic imaging services from state-of-the-art modalities at various institutions. Our patient-oriented imaging center promotes a positive experience. We are conveniently located throughout Long Island: in Lake Success and Port Jefferson Station, with affiliated locations in Riverhead, Setauket, and Southampton.
Under the supervision of the Director of Women's Health and Chief of Breast Imaging, performs radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. Performs technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care utilizing efficient and safe processes.

In this role you will:*
- Lead a team of Mammographers.
- With guidance from the director of women's imaging, direct activities of technical staff, assist in interviewing potential candidates for position, provide training and guidance to the technical team, and assist management with performance evaluations.
- Perform Quality Assurance responsibilities, and assist management with site inspections and/or site accreditation.
- Keep the site supervisor/manager aware of conditions and activities which positively and negatively impact back office operations.
- Respond to questions, needs and concerns of patients and referring physicians.
- Perform high quality digital and Tomosynthesis mammography exams on incoming patients.
- Assist with stereotactic biopsies
- Track inventory and order supplies
- Guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
- Assist in the implementation and administering of procedures and best practices to streamline processes for center operations, and participate in and/or lead various projects to support center operations and quality patient care.
- Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
- Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
- Performs other related duties as necessary.
We require:
- Minimum of three (2) years continuous experience as a Mammography
- License from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Excellent assessment, communication and organizational skills.
- Good computer knowledge.
- Bi-Lingual, English/Spanish a plus.

All openings are for daytime weekday hours.*
Salary up to $54 per hour.
