Position Details: Full-Time Day Shift St. Luke's Des Peres Hospital Description:

Perform general maintenance duties in the hospital and Medical office buildings as assigned. May have to go to an offsite building on occasion for maintenance duties. May have to work weekend’s holidays and shift work. Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.

Principle Accountabilities:
1. Works with maintenance supervisor and foreman in scheduling special projects. Also works with parts buyer when inventory of supplies or running low and ordering special materials for jobs. 5%

2. Maintains shop and tools in a neat, safe, condition. 10%

3. Perform maintenance as assigned. 70%

4. May have to work outside for snow and ice removal and special projects. 5%

5. Perform duties as prescribed in the Fire and Disaster plans. 5%

6. Performs other work duties as assigned. 5%

Education:
High School diploma or GED required, college credits preferred

Experience:
1. Have clerical abilities and two years experience with inventory control and Maintenance materials required.

2. Knowledge of general maintenance tools and care of same required.

3. Mechanical experience / aptitude required, familiarity with various parts, Ie. Refrigerator, hardware, electrical and plumbing.

4. Good verbal ability and analytical helpful in researching and ordering parts and communicating with vendors.

5. Ability to organize a must, including good memory retention, as parts are not requested from plant operation personnel by part number, but rather by description.

6. Ability to work with minimal amount of supervision.
