Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Maintenance Technician – Utilities. This position is responsible for the maintenance and operational support for all plant facilities and utilities equipment to ensure employee safety, equipment safety and functionality, and uninterrupted operations.
This position directly contributes to the success of the company by maintaining the facility through preventative maintenance and assigned maintenance tasks.
This is a full-time role position: Tuesday- Saturday 7:00am - 3:30pm

The site provides a range of integrated services for oral solid dosage forms, from formulation development and analytical testing to clinical and commercial-scale manufacture. The Kansas City facility is a Center-of-Excellence for our Biologics Analytical Services business. The Role
- Work both independently and collaboratively across shift assignments with minimal supervision.
- Execute daily equipment checks, water sampling and analysis, and emergency response procedures as needed.
- Follow all established EHS standards, safe work practices, and quality requirements including Lockout/Tagout and permits
- Use schematics, diagrams, and drawings for diagnostics, trouble shooting, and repair of plumbing, electrical, control systems, VFDs, programming logic, etc.
- Operate and maintain black utility systems and related equipment such as water softeners, de-alkalizer, boilers, steam and condensate systems, air compressors, fire suppression systems, and emergency generators
- Operate and maintain utility systems and related equipment such as purified water storage and distribution, reverse osmosis, and pure steam generators
- Drive continuous improvement for items such as infrastructure, procedures, routine maintenance tasks, spare parts inventory, etc.
- Document all start-up, shutdown, repair, and return-to-service activities in accordance with SOPs and GDP procedures. Capture data using logbooks, check sheets, work orders, and CMMS systems.
- Maintain compliance to established metrics, standards, and training requirements
- All other duties as assigned;
The Candidate
- High school diploma required, Associate degree or technical degree strongly preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in Industrial Plant Maintenance preferred.
- Previous facility maintenance experience and/or Pharma experience preferred
- Ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams, electronic schematics, and engineering drawings required.
- Ability to read, use, navigate, operate, and troubleshoot using BMS, alarm screens, etc.
- Valid Operating Engineers License , Refrigerant Licenses Universal CFC refrigerant certification preferred
- Boiler license must be obtained within one year of hire date
- Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-40 pounds;
