Our client has an opening for a Property Maintenance Technician located Cleveland, OH Western Suburbs. This is a full-time, permanent position with a 90-180 Evaluation Period to hire. The hourly rate for this position begins at $16.00 per hour and can pay up to $20.00 / hour depending upon skill, education, and experience.

This Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with tenants by ensuring that the buildings and properties occupied by the tenant is in excellent condition.

The Property Maintenance Technician job responsibilities include:

• Check-in with tenants regularly and assist with any issues in their space
• Maintain all aspects of building maintenance (changing lights, replacing ceiling tiles, small electrical, etc.)
• Maintain all equipment and machinery including but not limited to snow blowers, pressure washers, leaf blowers and vacuum
• Ability to effectively use all equipment pertaining to property maintenance
• Maintain supply inventory for assigned property & make certain that any needed supplies are ordered in a timely manner, including ordering of light bulbs
• Assist in maintenance & minor repairs of heating, ventilation (HVAC) systems Assist state, city or fire inspectors as they check empty spaces for wiring, sprinkler systems, or to distinguish a new tenant location
• Regularly check the HVAC Systems, elevators, tenant spaces and rooftops Assist in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of electrical distribution systems, including electronic controls, fire alarms, and clock systems
• Oversee air-conditioning system, fire sprinkler, alarm system & gas meter to ensure equipment is functioning properly
• Assist in maintenance/repair of plumbing & heating fixtures/components/piping Assist in the inspection, repair or replacement of pumps and valves
• Qualifications: Must have strong command of English oral skills & display effective written & communication skills
• Working knowledge of power tools and equipment
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to make required repairs Basic Math skills required
• Read and comprehend plans / blueprints Knowledgeable in applicable code requirements
• Mechanical skills and prior experience in maintenance functions
• Skilled in preventive maintenance measures & trouble shooting
• Organized & efficient in time management skills
• Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
• Ability to interact with tenants, staff & outside maintenance contractors
• Capable of working safely and following all OSHA regulations & requirements
• Other duties, as assigned
