We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor in Cofield, NC. The core responsibility for this role is to ensure capital assets are maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule in order to maximize equipment life and to ensure safe operations of the assets. This role will also be responsible for coaching maintenance associates on maintenance best practices and insure efficiencies of the maintenance team.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure safe working conditions for all associates
- Hire, train, lead, motivate, develop and engage the maintenance staff to meet the needs of the department
- Manage the corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance programs for assigned assets
- Ensure maintenance programs and records are maintained for all assigned assets
- Evaluate proposals from vendors and manage external mechanical contractors
- Ensure maintenance projects comply with all local, state, and federal safety and environmental requirements and regulations
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED required
- 5 - 7 years of mechanical or electrical maintenance or equivalent experience
- Industrial Electrical Controls experience
- Understanding of manufacturing technologies
- Understanding of corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance
- Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication, math, organizational and analytical skills
- Understanding of standard and maintenance software applications
Education Preferred
- BS Degree or comparable technical training within the mechanical and electrical crafts preferred
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus. Required to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations
