PURPOSE OF JOB

The Maintenance Technician performs skilled routine machine maintenance work and other ongoing maintenance throughout manufacturing facility. Use hand and power tools in repair, machine alteration and any other facility work as directed by supervisor

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Diagnose root cause of problem and correct mechanical and electrical failures in plant machinery and equipment.

· Performs routine and preventive, mechanical and electrical maintenance on all machinery.

· Operates equipment in the maintenance shop including, but not limited to drill, lathe, saws, grinders, sanders, etc.

· Identifies needed parts to repair equipment and facility; completes required paperwork to order new parts

· Maintenance and inventories of equipment spare parts.

· Maintains work logs as required.

· Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

· Perform grounds/facilities repairs and needed.

  • Document, as required, procedures and instructions, in compliance with PM requirements
  • Maintains fire safety and emergency records, maintenance of systems and inspections required by state and local regulations.
  • Maintain supplies at workstation.
  • Maintains quality assurance and preventative maintenance records for the physical plant.
  • Actively participate in all plant safety programs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 of demonstrated experience in maintenance technician required; manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic preventive maintenance scheduling and implementation required.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  • Standard 40-hour workweek applies, overtime as needed.
  • Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking, standing, kneeling, and lifting is required on a daily basis.
  • Hand dexterity and strength.
  • Requires full, unrestricted, range of physical motion to successfully operate manual/electrical power tools and other mechanical shop equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
