Job description

As a Service Manager for The Bluestone, you will help maintain the physical integrity of an apartment community with 360 apt-homes and lead a team of Service Technicians.

**1,500.00 sign on bonus (some terms apply)**

Competitive hourly rate plus $750.00 per month rent discount if you live onsite, health/dental/vision/401K and other bonus incentives.

We purchased the property in 2019, it was built in 2004 with upgrades in 2007, ongoing renovations.

Most Important Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate important leadership qualities and take initiative to help plan and execute service maintenance activities on the property, i.e. scheduling & completing tasks
  • Manage 3 Techs and 1 Groundsperson.
  • Typical day: Organization, scheduling, follow up with team members, some Yardi and Handytrac.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot maintenance concerns, seek contractor assistance only when necessary and communicate action plan to your team and the residents.
  • Must exhibit a high level of customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage work order reports, scheduling of turn related tasks (10-20 turns per month) and working hand in hand with the office to manage communications with residents when necessary.
  • Work closely with the Community Manager to communicate the mechanical/technical aspects of the community and make good decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up to ensure quality of final work product.
  • Share your knowledge with the team to promote teambuilding.

Most Important Qualifications

  • Management and leadership experience required.
  • Must be a go-getter with strong communication skills.
  • EPA and CPO certifications.
  • Technical skills should include the ability to troubleshoot/repair/maintain HVAC components, appliance repair, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and all other general CRC maintenance requirements.
  • Vehicle/truck and tools.
  • Ability to participate in the 3-4 person on-call emergency rotation
  • Customer service skills a must.
