Job description

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the oversight of all maintenance and equipment related to the facilities infrastructure and operations. Will also assist, troubleshoot, maintain and repair production equipment that is electrical, mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic in nature as needed.

Duties Summary/Responsibilities:

· Receives and processes maintenance requests as they are developed from various departments.

· Direct maintenance personnel to execute maintenance requests according to highest priority.

· Work directly with purchasing department to procure replacement components for equipment as needed.

· Troubleshoot various pieces of equipment such as but not limited to, electrical installations, overhead cranes, CNC equipment and rolling stock

· Manage crew of maintenance technicians

· Facilitates testing equipment to locate defects and measure performance; determines the need for adjustments and verifies specified and proper operation

· May be assigned to operate a variety of equipment, including forklift, overhead crane, gantry crane, loader and various production equipment

· Organizes various inspections for the facility to comply with applicable regulatory requirements.

· Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of facilities maintenance, electrical circuits, general machine functions, motor controls, rolling stock and repair operations
• Demonstratable experience of previous supervisory and management duties
• 5+ years’ experience in an industrial and/or commercial maintenance and facilities operation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with management group
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Perform effective diagnostic testing and troubleshooting
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lead and develop maintenance staff members
• Adaptability in continuously changing work duties and environment

Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to perform and sustain the following activities on a daily basis for varying periods of time: stand, walk, drag, pull, push, lift, lower, climb stairs or ladders, balance, bend, twist, squat, kneel and stoop on a constant basis, and work in an elevated location. Use of hands and arms fully extended. Ability to lift and hold weights of up to 50 lbs. in sometimes awkward positions when removing or installing parts. Often lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds; use hands, arms and upper body on a frequent basis. Full range of motion of the neck and shoulders. Must be able to manipulate a variety of hand and both electronic and pneumatic power tools sometimes for long periods of times in awkward postures. Ability to perform work in variable climate conditions such as but not limited to, hot, cold, dusty, noisy etc.
