Job description
Saint-Gobain is currently seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill a role as a maintenance technician. The ideal candidate will have safety as their #1 priority. The position is responsible for troubleshooting and performing moderately complex installation and/or repairs on all facilities, manufacturing, and production equipment. The incumbent will need to draw on knowledge that includes low voltage electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, carpentry, welding, fabrication, and/or other mechanical disciplines.
- Work Safely and follow Saint-Gobain safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Responsible for the preventative maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and calibration of equipment.
- Maintain a spare parts inventory to reduce downtime.
- Repair and maintain production equipment, following priorities outlined by the production team.
- Records maintenance and repair work performed.
- Works with appropriate departments
- Repairs to the facilities.
- Operate a forklift, scissor lift, and other material handling equipment
- Work at elevated heights occasionally (ladders/platforms/roof)
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED/equivalent required.
- Maintenance Certifications, Preferred.
- 3-5 Years previous experience working in maintenance in a manufacturing facility
- Work Individually and as part of a Team
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Reliable transportation to/from work
- Ability to safely use power tools and welding equipment
- Ability to read and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics.
