PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Maintenance Electrician reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. The person in this position will constantly drive to minimize overall maintenance costs. Experience in reading schematic drawings and ladder logic is required. In addition, this person will assist the Berry Global Inc. team in achieving our vision of being the dominant supplier of value added films in the industry. Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Maintenance Electrician reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. The person in this position will constantly drive to minimize overall maintenance costs. Experience in reading schematic drawings and ladder logic is required. In addition, this person will assist the Berry Global Inc. team in achieving our vision of being the dominant supplier of value added films in the industry.
- Will participate in machine pm's and repairs spending 75% of time on the floor
- Spends first 15 minutes of shift with previous shift maintenance technician discussing breakdowns and planning of tasks
- Plan for upcoming pm's and lead technicians to maintain machines in safe, efficient and productive manner
- Trouble shooting VFD's and PLC's
- Ability to build and maintain strong teamwork relationships
- Guide maintenance technicians on the repair and maintenance of plant equipment as effectively and economically as possible while being consistent with plant policies, practices and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motor controls and PLC's as required.
- HS diploma or GED required.
- Five+ years of related experience required.
- Formalized training in related areas i.e. welding, mechanics,rigging is highly desired.
- Two year Vocational/Technical school degree in IndustrialElectronics/Electricity or equivalent experience
- Positive attitude & good work ethic
- Must be able to work in team environment
- In-depth understanding of DC drives, AC and DC motors,relay logic systems and programmable controllers is a plus.
- Basic electrical Industrial knowledge is a must.
- Must be able to work with a variety of hand tools and powertools.
- Must be familiar with the operation of applicable mechanicaland electrical hand tools, electrical test equipment, alignmenttools, etc.
- Knowledge of operating powered equipment i.e. forklifts,scissor lifts and boom lifts.
- Must be familiar with office equipment to include computers,copiers and fax machine.
