Maintenance Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Routinely inspect buildings and grounds.

• Mow lawns and pick up papers, bottles, and cans. Maintain the appearance of the hospital grounds and cares for the lawns, trees, shrubs and flowers.

• Perform minor repairs in accordance with verbal instructions or work order.

• Perform a variety of routine repair and maintenance tasks, either independently or under the direction of other Engineering personnel.

• Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

• Customer Service: respect, flexibility, knowledge, confidence, professionalism, pleasant attitude, patience and helpfulness. All responses should be timely, professional, caring, and respectful in accordance with Customer Service Performance expectations.

• Perform snow removal tasks.

Requirements:

• High school diploma

• 1 year general maintenance experience

• valid driver's license required
