Job Details for Machinist:

• Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM
• Pay Rate: $20 -$32 an hour (Depending on experience)

Job Responsibilities & Description for Machinist:

• Travel to customer locations locally, throughout the United States, and abroad to perform site surveys and carry out repairs

• Transport and set up tools, machinery, and fixtures to support machining operations

• Perform machining operations using equipment such as; Portable milling machines, clam shell lathes, line boring systems, grinding machines, hydraulic tensioning systems, as well as various hand and power tools

• Take measurements of machined features using precision measuring equipment

• Performs mechanical assembly and dis-assembly of equipment using a variety of hand and power tools

• Completes inspection and as-found condition reports for completed work

Job Requirements for Machinist:

• 5 years of on site machinist experience: Required

• High school level understanding of algebra and geometry: Required

• Strong mechanical aptitude: Required

• Able to work independently and with limited supervision: Required

• Candidate must be able to pass a background check to gain access to sites that perform work on US DOD Contracts. (on-site): Required

• Candidate must have a good driving record: Required

• Ability to climb ladders and stairs throughout shipyard environments and on board maritime vessels and must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time: Required
