Job description

Machine Operators: monitor and maintain product quality based on established standards including visual and mechanical inspection of the product, as well as work in a safe manner at all times, following all safety policies and procedures. Perform setups in accordance with the established procedure, operate, and load/unload equipment. Work from written and verbal instructions, procedures, and work orders.

Additional responsibilities include: Maintaining and logging all information required supporting traceability and quality, participating in cross-training activities, maintaining work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition, and performing other duties as required or directed.

Qualifications:

Required:

· High school diploma, GED

· Attention to detail

· Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, stooping, and bending may be required

· Must be able to work independently and distinguish colors

· Must be able to use and read a micrometer

· Must have good English skills in reading, writing and communicating

· Must be able to work in a team environment and to work overtime as the need arises.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

· Will be required to stand, walk, and bend frequently.

· Occasionally lifting < 10pounds as needed

· Occasionally required to lift and carry objects of 10-25 pounds as needed.

· Occasionally required to lift and carry objects of 25-30 pounds as needed.

· Frequently required to lift and carry objects of 30-50 pounds as needed.

· Occasionally required to push and pull reels.

• Willington, CT 06279: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
