SUMMARY:

Immediately hiring a Machine Assistant Lead for a plastics injection molding facility in Hazleton, PA. Machine Assistant Lead will manage a molding process line including; setting up production runs, operating machines, overseeing personnel and creating quality product. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, make safety a priority, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of the Machine Assistant Lead (Injection Molding)

· Supervises, trains and delegates responsibilities to production personnel

· Set-up and operate injection molding machines, automation systems, conveying equipment, and material feed systems.

· Monitor and troubleshoots processes on the injection machines and secondary systems.

· Troubleshoot molding quality issues including flash, short shots, burns, and bubbles.

· Performs color changes, item changes, start-ups, shutdowns and ensures that all machines are set up in conjunction with the production schedule.

· Perform quality checks in assigned area in order to meet production and quality standards.

· Practices and enforces safe work practices.

· Assembles boxes, pallets, label, etc. to receive finished goods.

· Stacks or loads boxes or cases onto pallets

Required Qualifications of the Machine Assistant Lead:

· Good communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with other members of a team

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mold injection machinery and equipment.

· Minor knowledge of electrical wiring (AC, DC)

· Previous experience in production, manufacturing, assembling, and/or machine operating.

· Able to lead team members to complete work in a safe and efficient manner.

· Experience reading and interpreting production specifications a plus.

· Previous plastics injection molding experience a plus.

· Previous experience with multi-axis robots a plus (6 Axis Robot & Other Robot)

Required Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years hands on experience in a manufacturing/injection molding environment.

Ability to:

• Ability to add, subtract, divide and multiply

Employee's vision must be correctable to 20/20 depth perception.

Pay: $19.96 - $22.53 per hour
