Job description
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Assess medical and medical educational needs of patients.
· Assist the provider.
· Greet patients.
· Take vital signs, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration.
· Assist in examination and with diagnostic procedures (i.e. PAPs, EMB).
· Perform laboratory and diagnostic procedures as ordered (i.e. venipunctures, urinalysis, hemoglobin, glucose assessments and EKGs).
· Provide treatments as ordered (i.e., aerosols treatments, immunizations, injections, ear syringing).
· Perform procedures as instructed, dressing wounds, and staple removal.
· Perform patient screenings and intakes.
· Assist provider with all special programs, including prepping and tracking patients as needed
· Maintain all additional records concerning special programs, providing information for reports when asked
· Set up exam room for patient visit.
· Maintains and reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information.
· Posts tests and examination results.
· Make provider aware of abnormal tests and examination results.
· Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials.
· Ensures cleanliness of exam rooms.
· Answer questions from patients.
· Responsible for patient triaging and inquiries both in person and via telephone.
· Perform in-house lab test (i.e. Strep, Flu, UA)
· Refer patients to the providers when unable to assist them with their questions.
· Assist patients in needing medications assistance
· Responsible for monthly reports/logs as assigned (i.e., immunization tracking)
· Handles confidential matters concerning clinic policies and practices in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
· Maintains strictest confidentiality.
· Maintains infection control within the center.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: From $16.49 per hour

Experience:
- EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
- Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
