Dr. Virginia Von Schaefer is looking to hire an experienced and highly skilled LVN with IV certification to join her small but growing amazing team. Dr.V is an Integrative Oncologist and former vascular and general surgeon, who uses her diverse and extensive background in the medical field to devise new ways to treat cancer. Dr.V not only holds an MD from Columbia Medical School but also has a degree in cell biology. PLEASE NOTE: MUST BE IV CERTIFIED W/CURRENT IV EXPERIENCE!
Responsibilities Include:
- Administer IV infusions and chemotherapy / MUST be skilled at starting IVs via peripheral lines, PICC lines, and portacaths, as ordered by Physician
- Prepare for IV administration (i.e. prepping charts, prepping IV bags, consent forms)
- Continuously monitor patients on IV infusions, monitor blood sugar levels for IPT
- Perform blood draws, prepare specimen processing for analysis
- Input lab orders
- Educate and communicate with patients about the treatments and their treatment plan as needed
- Perform patient assessments
- Review patient charts, i.e. completed and ready for sign off
- Assist RNs as needed
- Coordinate with MAs and scribes to prepare for patients’ treatment plans
- Assure all IV patients are scheduled for their treatments and/or blood draws
- Other duties as may be assigned
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Graduate from an accredited school of vocational nursing.
- Active CA LVN license
- 1 year working as an LVN
- Active IV Therapy Certification
- Exceptional IV skills
- Proficiency with EMR charting
- High School Diploma or equivalent

Salary: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
