Job Description:

RN’s/LPN’s provide consistent, high-quality care by identifying resident needs and progress, medical assessments and promotion of team approach to resident care. Coordination and supervision of total nursing activities and personnel in designated unit including support to CNAs with resident care.

Duties Include:

• Supervise the care of residents in designated unit; visit each resident to evaluate immediate physical, psychosocial, and nutritional condition; listen to resident comments relating to needs and problems and implement required nursing intervention.
• Complete required documentation in an accurate, legible, and timely manner in accordance with professional standards of nursing practice and federal state regulation.
• Inform DON of significant resident status changes, pertinent nursing personnel matters, and other related matters through written reports and/or verbal communication.
• Delegate responsibility to nursing personnel through work assignments for direct nursing care of specific residents and non-nursing duties during his/her tour of duty.
• Authorize meal break, rest breaks, or changes in scheduled working hours for same.

Job Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing required.
• Currently licensed as an RN in the state of Indiana with the Health Professions Bureau required.
• Must maintain license as required by the facility or the state.
• Long term care nursing experience preferred.
• Requires the ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 60 pounds frequently.

This position has occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials. Adherence to universal precautions is required.

Schedule:

• Full Time, Evening Shift
• Must work every other weekend and every other holiday
