Long-Term Substitute High School English Teacher
Full School Year

QUALIFICATIONS: -
Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
Master’s degree preferred
Possess necessary Massachusetts teaching certification(s)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Adapt/deliver department curriculum provided. Knowledge of MA frameworks.
  • Create a differentiated environment that supports the learning styles and emotional needs of all students.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ educational progress and abilities using formative and summative measures.
  • Collaborate with a Professional Learning Community (PLC) to develop common assessments, analyze student work and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Communicate with parents, administration and students regarding academic content, expectations and student progress.
  • Attend to all teacher duties and professional development.
  • Uphold, support and promote the Core Values of Hull Public Schools in all areas of teaching and learning as a member of the English department for Hull High School.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
