Acara Solutions is hiring a Planning and Logistics Specialist for our client in San Jose. This role will start out as a 6 month contract, with potential to be extended to 12 or 18 months. It operates on a HYBRID schedule, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

Pay rate is $40-50/hr, DOE.

The NPI PLM Ops mission is to secure the material supply to new product design project teams to enable prototyping a in house prototype modules. Closely working with the projects team/PLM coordinators to get clear scope of project demands. Monitoring delivery schedule and managing supplier's responsiveness and performance.

Role and responsibilities

• Work with demand owner, Product lifecycle management project coordinator (PLM PC), to get clear demand on material requirement.
• Place orders and create purchase requisitions (PRs). Follow up on estimated time of arrival (ETA) of the orders.
• Coordinate with suppliers to place orders for consigned parts. Coordinate shipment with logistic team.
• Work with Sourcing/buyers to get quotation and Review quotations for PR.
• Monitor shortage and demand/supply gap. Report out and escalate on time.
• Coordinate with PLM coordinator on projects demand for Work order WIP issue.
• Track material issue out from and completion to warehouse via ERP and communication with work owner and warehouse employees.
• Implement supply chain impact with factory and supplier on Engineer changes
• Continuous process improvement in related work process and work instruction.
