What You'll Do
  • Monitor open orders and inventory for all Willard FG DCs and make changes as needed
  • Analyze and resolve dead orders for product substitution or order cancellation
  • Verify if inventory will be available from production by ship request date
  • Review and prioritize rework hold log based on customer order demand
  • Monitor and manage order release based on product allocations
  • Run Maxload to determine fit of mixed loads, confirm equipment size needed, and best ship mode
  • Prepare loading instructions, special bills of lading, customs invoices, declarations, and compliance forms
  • Investigate and resolve pick ticket shortages
  • Ensure customer compliance requirements are being met
  • Review and modify truck schedule capacity to accommodate loading volume
  • Assign routing for prepaid orders using BluJay Solutions lean logistics system
  • Secure routing for collect orders via customer logistics websites and routing guides
  • Engage carrier representatives to confirm loading appointments and details
  • Determine if orders can ship and backorder, or must ship complete
  • Provide instruction to shipping if a load can be shorted or should be cancelled
  • Monitor released orders to verify they are being loaded on time
  • Review late shipments and assign late reason codes
  • Verify data accuracy in data entry points and shipment documentation
  • Provide detailed reports for: shipments, rework hold logs, shipment balancing, carrier issues
  • Collaborate with other departments to address issues with production, quality, logistics, and customer orders
  • Maintain digital files using Digital Archive Retention and Retrieval System (DARRS)
  • Process and submit freight damage claims related to customer returns
  • Perform departmental tasks as assigned by the Manager or Office Administrator

Who You Are
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office suite applications
  • Capable of understanding all shipping functions and procedures, and MAPICS/system functions
  • Able to learn how to navigate and utilize lean logistics and customer logistics sites
  • Ability to provide professional customer and personal services
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated with exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently or with a group
