Responsibilities:
- Greet members, use name and maintain a professional and courteous attitude during interactions
- Receive and accurately process member financial transactions
- Be highly knowledgeable of all Credit Union products and services
- Negotiate checks and determine hold requirements
- Protect credit union from undue risk from fraud
- Balance cash drawer and daily transactions
- Answer basic inquiries regarding interest rates, fees and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and privacy policies
- Open new memberships and accounts
- Open and distribute incoming mail. Process return mail.
- Complete, file and maintain all required account, loan and compliance paperwork
- Answer incoming calls promptly
- Assist in any area as directed by the President in a relief capacity and perform other duties as directed
- Build member relationships through selling and referring credit union products and services to meet members’ financial needs including deposit products, loan products and home equity loans through face-to-face, calling efforts and participating in business and community development events
- Receive loan applications from online, phone and in person
- Conduct loan interview to clarify and obtain additional information
- Complete credit report pulls and underwriting sheet
- Underwrite loans that meet guidelines and submit loans that do not meet guidelines to President or Credit Committee for determination
- Sell lending ancillary products meeting established goals
- Close loans in person, by mail and electronically
- Work closely with President to maintain loan documentation files
- Extensive knowledge with initiating, processing, and servicing mortgage loans, home equity and additional real estate lending.
