The selected candidate will perform Linux System Administration functions necessary to maintain mission effectiveness within the Foreign Materiel Exploitation (FME) Squadron of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center, located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The work includes handling the support infrastructure, Sun operating systems, virtual platforms, and applications. The administrator is responsible for the integrity and security of the servers and computer systems by following established security protocols and practices in accordance with DoD regulations and coordinate as necessary with external Information Assurance offices. Responsibilities include providing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 IT support; performing software license management providing full accountability of all software and associated licenses, and ensuring the squadron is properly equipped to support existing requirements and can rapidly adapt to support changing requirements, as needed; ensuring that versions/service packs for all software are kept up to date; and maintaining weekly data backups for all GXF maintained connected and stand-alone systems to ensure no data loss in case of system failure or corruption.

REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent communication skills to interface regularly with NASIC customers to address issues and ensure compliance with all pertinent regulations related to IT.
• Security+ certification
• Clear understanding and skill in providing system administration services to include network administration
• Active TS/SCI security clearance
