DeVine is a leading provider of Technical and Scientific solutions for Federal, State and commercial clients.
Our company is looking for an Linux Software Systems Engineer with Top Secret (TS) clearance to join our team in Monterey, CA. This position will be supporting a government customer, hence only US Citizens may be considered.
The successful hire will be part of a team that provides software engineering and systems support of existing and emerging client objectives.

Duties
- Formulates and defines specifications for operating system applications or modifies and maintains existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer
- Responsible for program design, modeling, simulation, coding, testing, debugging and documentation
- Responsible for applications dealing with the overall operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications/communications networks, computer accounting and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages
- Instructs, directs, and checks the work of other task personnel
- Responsible for quality assurance review and the evaluation of existing and new software products
Requirements
- 7+ years' experience with Linux system deployment and with DoD software requirements
- 4+ years' experience with N-tiered architecture design
- 3+ years' experience with Cloud software deployment
- 7+ years' of increasingly complex and progressive experience in performing systems analysis, development, and implementation of business, mathematical, or scientific settings using a variety of information technology resources
- Experience with current technologies and, where required for the task, emerging technologies
- Must have managed or had significant involvement with complex or substantive information technology projects including one year of experience demonstrating management and supervision capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study which provides substantial knowledge useful in managing large, complex AIS projects, is closely related to the work to be automated, and/or in a computer science, information system, a physical science, engineering or a mathematics-intensive discipline
- Current Top Secret (TS) clearance, current SCI a plus
- Current CISSP or equivalent preferred, current Security+ or equivalent required
