Line Cook

This is a great opportunity for those looking to grow into a position as a Kitchen Manager to Store Manager.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour + tips

Duties & Responsibilities:

• In charge of preparing food items using the company recipes to fulfill customer orders
• Ensure that an optimal amount of ready-to-serve food items are displayed at the FOH areas; perform quality control of cooked foods and rotate food items as required
• Perform cutting, plating, and packaging of cooked foods before they are served to customer
• Open and/or close the kitchen daily; maintain cleanliness of cooking areas and cooking utensils
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or the store manager

Qualifications:

• Has minimum of one year experience as a cook, grill cook, prep cook, line cook, or other related roles in a commercial kitchen
• Has good cooking skills, knife skills, keen senses of taste and smell, and willingness to learn new recipes
• Is able to use commercial cooking equipment to produce food items efficiently while maintaining accuracy
• Has strong work ethic and willingness to show up to work on time with a smile! The rest we can train on the job.
• Can maintain good health and sanitation standards
• Can work up to 8 hours per day while standing and walking (with breaks in between)
• Can occasionally lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Can withstand heat, coldness, and exposure to cleaning chemicals, smoke, fumes, and some airborne particles
• Is willing to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends
• Is legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring any sponsorship
• An active Washington Food Handler Permit is a plus (we can train you to get one)
• All candidates are subject to a pre-employment background check and work authorization verification before actual employment starts
