Position Description:

The Lift Truck Operator, in the warehouse functional area, reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for the movement of all finish goods, drummed and bagged raw materials, and packaging for the operation of the plant.

Job Functions:

  • Perform all tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner and complete all necessary housekeeping tasks to ensure work areas are kept in the best possible condition at all times.
  • Load customer and warehouse trucks using a lift truck and the pick-list assigned by the Warehouse supervisor to load the correct railcars in accordance with defined procedures and loading patterns report.

  • Unload and store drum and bag raw materials and packaging using a lift truck and the manifest supplied by the delivering carrier unload and store the deliver in cargo to the designated storage area.
  • Mark, move, and record PCU units from loading dock from the bar code label separate, lot and store PCU to outside storage pad then log proper information on the P: drive PCU folder.
  • Cut and deliver retest samples to lab. Via e-mail the Lab will request retest samples and the warehousemen will pull the units that need to be sampled, then cut the sample and deliver and log the sample into the lab.
  • As the Lift Truck Operator in the warehouse functional area is the last company employee to see the material before the customer, they must assure everything is in optimum shipping condition prior to shipment.
  • As needed, move and spot railcars using Site Railcar Mover.
  • As needed move and spot truck trailer with Site Yard Dog.

Candidates must have a High School education or equivalent. Industrial experience preferred. Candidates will be required to successfully complete extensive testing, drug/alcohol screen, physical requirement evaluation and complete the company’s training program and probationary period. Overtime will be required.
