TITLE/POSITION: Lifestyle Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
DATE: Summer – 2023
Mary Sunshine House (MSH) is seeking a full-time Lifestyle Coordinator to help lead its efforts to provide a comprehensive independent living community located adjacent to the Southern Wesleyan University Campus to support and enrich the lives of adults with neurodevelopmental/autism spectrum disorders.
The mission of MSH is to “enrich the lives of adults with neurodevelopmental/autism spectrum disorders by helping them realize their individual potential for self-reliant living, meaningful productive work, successful socialization and experiences in on-going physical and emotional growth.”
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Lifestyle Coordinator will be responsible for supervision and oversight of all resident programs alongside with the Executive Director. As a key member of the senior management team, the Lifestyle Coordinator participates in leadership and strategic management of MSH. This is an exciting opportunity to advance a critically needed new and innovative approach to support high functioning autistic adults on the East Coast.
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS:
Leadership & Operational Management
· Participate on the MSH leadership team to ensure quality services and financial viability of all programs; includes strategic planning, operations, systems, and practices.
· Coordinate full cycle of resident move-in and move-out activities including management and maintenance of resident files.
· Assist the Executive Director in the creation and review of applicable policies and procedures.
· Monitor required documentation.
· Conduct regular quality assurance and program evaluations; monitor performance with quality and financial goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Supervise program staff and conduct in-service training and staff development opportunities; arrange internal and external trainings; facilitate staff meetings and conduct performance evaluations.
· Ensure that MSH amenities designed for the residents make optimal use of local social, educational, and recreational resources.
· Identify and incorporate new opportunities for resident programs and cultivate community partnerships.
Community Relations & Communications
· Demonstrate strong relationship building skills and serve as a liaison with parents and community partners.
· Act as liaison with community agencies to foster partnerships and the opportunity for new amenities.
· Serve on committees and manage special projects.
Fiduciary Responsibilities
· Collaborate closely with the Executive Director in development of annual budget.
· Assist with identification and provision of measurable outcomes for grant requirements and PR/marketing materials.

· Multi-Tasker- advanced skills in planning, developing, analyzing, and evaluating a wide range of financial, administrative, and managerial functions.
· Collaborative Relationship Builder- able to work with the Executive Director, staff, residents and families, community, and donors to lead through growth and challenges while casting a vision of what is possible and keeping all motivated.
· Professional Behavior- Maintain professional boundaries with individuals served and staff and possess excellent internal and external communication skills which include ability to speak persuasively in public.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum five (5) years experience with programs for people with autism and related disabilities preferred.
· Bachelor’s Degree of equivalent experience in recreational therapy, psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or other related field.
· Possession of a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
· Previous experience in management, preferably in social or human services programs or similar preferred.
· Must be able to pass comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screen.
· Ability to be part of the on-calling rotation and accessible to MSH property within close proximity.
· Must be physically able to participate and pass all measures of MSH training requirements including First Aid and CPR certification.
· Must be able to sit & stand for long periods of time, physically fit to run short distances and lift up to 25 lbs.

- Develop policies and procedures that ensure high quality programs compliant with local and state laws, health codes, ordinances, and best practices; manage and oversee implementation of policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain record-keeping and documentation systems for programs and resident activities.
- Conduct regular quality assurance and program evaluations; monitor performance with quality and financial goals and KPIs.
- Manage and maintain system for assisting residents with medications, storage, and documentation in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Develop and prepare reports on a timely basis.
- Supervise program staff and conduct in-service training and staff development opportunities; arrange internal and external trainings; facilitate staff meetings and conduct performance evaluations.
- Ensure that agency services for residents make optimal use of local social, educational, and recreational resources.
