The Licensing and Compliance Administrator will primarily be responsible for ensuring proper licensing and regulatory compliance for the company, receive and review any incoming compliance or regulatory matters, and interact with counsel and insurance company clients on all legal and compliance matters.


Primary Job Functions

  • Review and analyze all company licensure.
  • Liaise with outside business contacts and insurance regulators via email and phone to ensure licensure is up to date and active.
  • Coordinate with contracted licensing company to ensure timely filing of each license for each state.
  • Coordinate timely curing of internal and external licensing and regulatory deficiencies to support business initiatives.
  • Manage, for compliance and best practice purposes, internal and external audit materials.
  • Understand and implement processes prescribed by various insurance regulators.
  • Field licensing and compliance inquiries related to business entities and individuals.
  • Draft digital and hard copy correspondence with the help of counsel and insurance company clients.
  • Identify and compile licensing and compliance information through research.
  • Complete special projects and assignments, as needed.
  • Handle multiple, competing priorities.
  • Work in team environment to build strong relationships with co-workers throughout the company.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years in a meticulously organized administrative role.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal skills.
  • A dedicated approach towards the execution of assignments and the role.
  • Performance of tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow established workflows and guidelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.

Preferred

  • Paralegal, licensing, and/or compliance experience is a plus.
  • Insurance industry experience is a plus
  • Experience in multiple states and/or jurisdictions is a plus.
