JOB TITLE: Psychotherapist (1099 independent contractor)

PROGRAM: Outpatient Mental Health Clinic/ Substance Use Disorder Program

SUPERVISED BY: Clinical Supervisor

COMPENSATION: Fee-For-Service

WORK SCHEDULE: The Psychotherapist sets their own schedule to render contract services to the program. It is suggested that the services are rendered during the times and days the office is open for administrative support and when the clients being serviced are most active; which are Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Clients are available to be seen on the weekends if you choose to schedule in advanced.

SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The Psychotherapist will be responsible for assessment of clients including the development, evaluation, and modification of the plan of care. The clinician interprets and performs complex client care procedures specific to their area of expertise. Sets objectives and goals for treatment and develops treatment plans in conjunction with the medical director, implements and monitors treatment plan. Provides individual or group treatment, such as psychotherapy, supportive therapy or crisis intervention on a long term or short-term basis to various populations and age groups. Advise the program director on the development and implementation or rehabilitation services to assure that those services meet the needs of the individuals served by the program.

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION:

1. Responsible for providing direct (face to face) therapeutic services in the form of individual counseling, family counseling, and group counseling.

2. Staff who are not independently licensed (LMSW, LGPC) will be under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor/ Manager. All clinical staff will be administratively and clinically accountable to the Clinical Supervisor/ Manager.

3. Responsible for completing Bio-psychosocials, Individual Treatment Plans, Treatment Plan reviews, Progress Notes, Outcome Measurement Surveys, Client/Therapist sign off sheets, Discharge Summaries and other documents as required.

4. Responsible for maintaining client records in accordance with established policies and procedures of this agency and Maryland Department of Health and other state agencies as required.

5. Attend staff meetings as scheduled.

6. Submit all paperwork as required.

7. Clinical staff will perform other duties as assigned within the scope of clinical duties

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

1. EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or other related field

2. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience. Must have experience in providing direct clinical services to individuals and families.

3. REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: Must be Maryland licensed in one of the following disciplines: Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist

MUST BE COVID VACCINATED or at least have your first dose by start date with the 2nd dose scheduled and documented.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $46,800.00 - $78,000.00 per year
