Job description

We are seeking a part-time Leasing Specialist at Trailblazer Commons, a student housing community in Godfrey, IL.

As a Leasing Specialist, you are responsible for providing comprehensive support in all aspects of community operations, with a special focus on sales, leasing and marketing. You will also assist with general property management, rent collection, customer service, maintenance and administrative activities.

Job Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Give leasing tours, answer leasing phone calls, and process online inquiries.
• Prepare resident leases.
• Assist the Property Manager with marketing and resident retention efforts, e.g. planning and executing events, updating social media outlets, attending housing fairs, etc.
• Ensure efficient and courteous response to all resident and guarantor requests.
• Route maintenance requests to appropriate parties.
• Process rental payments and perform other data entry tasks as assigned.
• Respond to emergency maintenance or safety calls. Must be willing to be “on call” for emergency maintenance requests at least two weeks per month.
• Assist with curb appeal and property beautification efforts; occasional light cleaning and trash pickup is required.

Qualifications:

• Willingness to adopt an owner’s mentality. Must have a can-do attitude and a willingness to get the job done, no matter what.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of ResMan property management software is a plus.
• Available to work weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in property management is preferred.
