Position Summary: Contributes to the overall strategic vision of the IT organization and integrates a broad range of ideas regarding IT architecture. Recognized across the organization for IT architecture expertise and sought as a resource for resolution of unique or complex IT architecture problems. Undertakes multiple and highly complex IT architecture projects involving multiple disciplines and may impact multiple business units.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:
  • Candidate will be responsible for our overall architecture for the DISAWorks platform, along with the associated development of supporting applications.
  • Candidate will provide design, development, certification, deployment, support functions, performance analysis and problem-solving efforts for the DISAWorks platform and other engineering initiatives.
  • Strong communications skills are a must to provide Tier 3/4 support effectively and efficiently for staff on platform issues.
  • This role requires significant interaction and collaboration with other engineering groups, product, planning, operations, IT organizations, vendor development and support groups, as needed.
  • Candidate must have the ability to scope all types of engineering initiatives, develop schedules and cost estimates is required.
  • Candidate must be capable of balancing hands-on development responsibilities while playing a key role in design sessions, mentoring and guidance efforts with a larger team.
  • Candidate must have a passion for reducing complexity whenever possible.
  • Candidate must possess a high attention to detail.
  • Candidate must have the ability to independently advise, communicate and implement elegant and efficient software design solutions.
  • Candidate must have the ability to effectively collaborate with a team in designing and implementing creative technical solutions.
  • Candidate must be comfortable in communicating technology and tooling recommendations to upper management with appropriate justification.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum preferred.
Qualifications required:
  • Excellent communications skills required.
  • Excellent documentation/technical writing skills required.
  • Extensive Database design and administration experience with SQL Server
  • Solid OOD, TDD, CI skills
  • Ability to create distributed frameworks that leverage .NET
  • Cloud (private and public) architecture and underlying technologies background
  • Solid scripting/development capabilities across various platforms
  • Familiarity and experience in DevOps
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Experience with Microservice design patterns
Qualifications desired:
  • Working knowledge performance testing tools.
  • Knowledge and experience with data and software architecture patterns
  • In-depth knowledge and working experience with: DISAWorks
  • Experience administrating and developing Business Intelligence software solutions
  • Certifications in the areas of database, SOA, development tools from premier vendors
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and minimum 8 years relevant experience preferred.
