We're looking for a PHP Software Lead to join our team and be part of a ground-breaking initiative. What you will do: :
- Develop high-quality software design and architecture, ensuring long-term quality security and scalability.
- Oversee project execution strategies and SDLC processes using Agile Methodologies.
- Coordinate tasks among onsite and offsite team members.
- Work closely with Test leads to develop guidelines for software testing.
- Design product upgrades and improvements.
- Collaborate with businesses and developers to brainstorm, gather feedback, and implement solutions.
- Work closely with implementation partners and customers to successfully roll out product releases.
- Maintain technical documentation and act as the technical SPOC for external teams.
- Enhance the team and project, leveraging your collaborative and leadership abilities to ensure the application's success.
- Ensure that the problem is solved while prioritizing your code's readability and simplicity.
- You have a deadline mentality, are detail-oriented, and are passionate about building things that scale.
Required skills for the successful candidate:
- 7+ years of professional experience working with PHP and MySQL and on a large-scale web application and RESTful APIs.
- Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with unit testing, ability to write testable code.
- Good understanding of OOP and SOLID.
- Experience building applications with a proactive approach that incorporates security principles such as least privilege, separation of privilege, and accountability, among others.
- Proficiency with GCP Services or other cloud services, Docker, Jenkins & Git, with the ability to handle tasks to ensure process efficiency.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code / Automation / Scripting - Ansible/Terraform.
Nice to have:
- Experience in modern JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS
- Experience in developing IOS / Android mobile applications
- Proficiency with Linux command line server administration
- Experience transitioning legacy code base and systems to modern fluid systems.
Experience and Education: :
- 4-year degree and 7-9 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience.
- PHP 8+, PHPUnit,
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- MySQL / CloudSQL
