Job description
Lead pastor role that will disciple current and new believers, be involved in the community, and focus on growing the Kingdom of God. Must be God-lead, self-driven and will have the freedom to be a public figure representing the church and Christ.
Qualifications
- Ordained in the Wesleyan Church is preferred, but not required. Must be able to become licensed or ordained in the Wesleyan Church within a reasonable timeframe after hiring.
- Be able to support, practice and teach the doctrinal positions of The Wesleyan Church outlined in the Guides and Helps to Holy Living in the discipline.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the lead pastor include, but may not be limited to:
- Prepare for and preach a sermon for weekly church services.
- Mindfully pray for the congregation and community.
- Disciple the congregation.
- Visit congregants that are home-bound, sick or otherwise unable to attend regularly.
- Submit annual required reports to the District Board of Administration.
- Serve as the chairperson and report to the Local Board of Administration at regular monthly meetings.
- Oversee and work with the Childrens Minister to ensure spiritual growth in youth programs.
- Report expenses to and assist the treasurer in overseeing the budget.
- Maintain a social media presence on behalf of the church.

We are located in Lakin Kansas. Lakin is a small town of about 2500 people. Lakin has an awesome school district that is attractive for families that wish to be in a smaller school system, if that pertains to you. We are close enough to Garden City (20 Miles) that we still have all the luxuries of a small city. An airport, zoo, water park, plenty of shopping, and good food.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
