Play a key role in on time delivery to customers
As a Lead Materials Planner you will be responsible for planning and scheduling of the materials required to execute the business. Planners work with sales and commercial teams, regional personnel and supply chain to translate demand into physical orders. Planners work across multiple time horizons to ensure our orders are delivered to meet customer requirements.
In this role, you will also be responsible for:
- Working with the region sales and operations to create the regional forecast (12-18 month) and global forecasts
- Working with the sales and operations team to convert the demand plans into physical orders.
- Assisting in the execution and drives consistency of the S&OP process
- Analyzing incoming demand: identifies order exceptions, misalignment with product rationalization strategy and opportunities to utilize existing inventory
- Planning and scheduling order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs
- Performing various material management analysis such as statistical material consumption and forecasts, aged inventory, aged PO, in-transit material analysis, safety stock, etc.
- Working with the AMO organization to ensure spare parts and asset demands are captured
- Assisting with product life cycle management for new and obsolete products to ensure they are incorporated into the S&OP process
- Assisting in driving product line make to stock (MTS), make to order (MTO), configure to order (CTO) and engineer to order (ETO) standards are implemented in the S&OP process
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in a related business focus or 5 years of equivalent experience
- Have experience in order management, inventory optimization and management, asset utilization and materials planning & scheduling
- Have proficient skills in SAP and MRP
- Have an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrate an ability to communicate professionally at all levels, lead meetings and collaborate with internal stakeholders
- Be a good team player, enjoy collaborating and solving problems with others
