MINIMUM 3 YEARS MAINTENANCE MECHANIC EXPERIENCE IN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT IS REQUIRED
Connect Staffing Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Maintenance Maintainer with leadership skills for a packaging production company located in Fontana, CA.
Schedule: 2nd Shift 1:30 pm to 9 pm Monday – Friday.
Requirements of the Lead Maintenance Mechanic:
- Strong leadership skills
- Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Must be able to read documentation, measuring devices and sight inspect equipment
- Knowledgeable in product quality control, line maintenance, and repair of line machinery and equipment
- Moderate lifting, pulling and pushing between 35-80 lbs
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Comfortable making production-related decisions
- Prior experience in roles such as industrial mechanic, mechanical technician, maintenance engineer, maintenance technician, facilities technician, or industrial maintenance mechanic is a big plus!

Responsibilities of the Lead Maintenance Mechanic:
- Provide general leadership of machine operating staff based on equipment operability during times when Supervisor is not present and daily from 5pm-9pm.
- Examine machine controls to install plate changeovers and start up machines for production needs when required
- Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery
- Lubricate and clean machinery and support equipment to maintain housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards within the plant
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
- Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches
- Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of problem
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
- Flexibility - willing to move around between departments. Flexible for OT needs and able to adjust start time or work 10 or 12-hour days as needed.
