Lighthouse Lab Services has partnered with a dermatopathology laboratory located near Salt Lake City, UT, dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic services to their clients. We are seeking a Lead Histotechnologist to join their team for the NIGHT shift. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the night shift histology department and ensuring that all procedures are performed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of histotechnologists and ensure that they receive adequate training and support
• Ensure that all specimens are properly processed, embedded, and sectioned
• Perform special staining procedures as needed
• Maintain accurate records of all procedures performed
• Ensure compliance with all laboratory regulations and guidelines
• Troubleshoot technical problems and implement solutions as needed
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field
• Certification as a Histotechnologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Histotechnologist, with at least 1 year of lead/supervisory experience
• Knowledge of histology laboratory procedures, including specimen processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
