Job Description

As a team lead at Dependable Yard Care, you may work as the lead on a team of 2 or more, or by yourself as one-person crew. Your duties may include:

• Mowing, trimming and edging lawns
• Pruning trees or trimming shrubs
• Weeding, raking and cleaning up flowerbeds
• Installing mulch
• Landscape installations or other projects
• Safely operating commercial vehicles (truck and trailer)

We expect excellent communication, strong leadership skills and an ability to work independently and efficiently. As the lead team member, you'll be accountable for the actions and results of your work.

At DYC, you can count on a, full time schedule, year round (weather permitting). We run on 10 hour shifts (march thru nov) (9 hrs dec thru feb), so you get a 3 day weekend, every week! Overtime is available seasonally, and we don't work major holidays. Experience is required for this position.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay from $20/hour up to $29/hour with bonuses. Starting rate of pay is based on your level of relevant experience. Increased wages are based on your willingness to be a part of a Pay four performance bonus plan.
• Paid time off is available for covering some weather days, sick time or pre-approved days off.
• Additional payed time off and a medical compensation plan is available after one year of employment.

Team Member Requirements

• This job is full time and we work outdoors in all weather, all year. Strong physical shape is important.
• Successful candidates must be able and willing to operate equipment such as a mower, hedge trimmer, weedeater, or blower after receiving the proper training.
• Safely driving company vehicles, with or without a trailer
• You will need to be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• No tobacco use is allowed while "on the clock". This includes vaping, chewing or cigarette smoking.
• Valid WA driver's license and ability to drive a commercial vehicle
• Have a clear respect and desire to operate day to day with the DYC core beliefs in mind.
