Laboratory Technical Specialist - Full Time - Automated Lab/Hematology

In this new position as Technical Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to lead an expanding team in the Automated Lab. Plan and develop new techniques, assays and methods while providing technical guidance. Organize and coordinate all technical functions and activities of the Hematology Lab. The shift for this position is days Monday through Friday plus availability to cover weekends and rotating holidays as needed. Location is our Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan/Washington Heights.
Preferred Criteria
- ASCP Certification
Required Criteria
- Minimum of 6 years in specialized testing
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License from New York Education Department
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field of science
- Excellent technical skills, including method development and training skills
- Cognitive ability to develop and troubleshoot sophisticated analytical procedures
