Job Title: Materials & Lab Coordinator

Duration: 12 Months

Work Location: West Sacramento, CA 95605

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Understanding of day-to-day laboratory operations
• Responsible for lab restocking and refilling.
• Supports shipping and receiving.
• Organizes Cold storage and room temperature storage and manages onsite inventory.
• Management of biohazardous materials and waste, chemical waste, sharps and management of other potentially hazardous materials.
• Supports lab equipment life cycle and calibration management. To include preventative maintenance of a variety of simple to complex laboratory equipment (ie: centrifuges, water systems, incubators, analytical equipment, etc.)
• Able to coordinate activities across multiple teams and maintain cross-functional relationships across testing teams, project management teams, and site leadership.
• EHS and 5S champion
• Prepares and supports audits readiness

Qualifications and Experience

• Capable of working at a fast pace on multiple projects and adapting to changes in priorities and work environment.
• Able to prioritize and effectively communicate through challenges
• Strong attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, excellence in time-management and organizational skills.
• Able to follow onsite standard operating procedures
• Able to identify areas of process improvement and drive site communication to address gap and/or update site procedures.
• Computer literacy and experience with standard computer programs Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. is required
• Adhere to site safety policies and comply with PPE requirements in lab
• Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences (preferred) or other scientifically relevant discipline
• Past experience working in a clinical laboratory

Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, such as: Microsoft Office Suite, LIMS
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of regulatory compliance, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and HIPAA
