Job Summary and Qualifications

Under supervision of the Laboratory Director, the Laboratory Manager is responsible for the twenty-four hour operation of the laboratory. He/she will assist the Laboratory Director in planning, organizing and delineating duties and responsibilities of laboratory personnel in cooperation with the Medical Director of the Laboratory. The Laboratory Manager will, when necessary, represent and coordinate activities of the laboratory in outside areas and with other individuals upon absence of the Laboratory Director. He/she coordinates management and clinical functions to assure reliable test results that will contribute to the prevention, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of physiological and pathological conditions.

• You will ensure daily efficient operation of all section of the clinical laboratory, utilizing professional knowledge and administrative guidelines.
• You will develop, implement, and enforce the Laboratory infection control and safety program.
• You will maintain the Laboratories quality assurance and quality control program to meet laboratory-accrediting standards.
• You will demonstrate organizational ability with time and personnel.
• You will maintain accrediting agency standards.
• You will maintain a consolidated management and operational platform for the laboratories of the two facilities.

What qualifications you will need:

• 
  Bachelors Degree
• American Medical Technologist, or Medical Lab Scientist
