Therefore, we are currently searching for an experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our growing team.

POSITION SUMMARY
Under general direction, the Kitchen Supervisor oversees the daily operations of food services and is responsible for maintaining food quality while promoting consistency and excellence by using the established recipes and procedures of ATOMIC CITY.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with GM and other kitchen staff to plan menus, oversee food preparation, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Expert management of the expo and ticket lines - ensuring all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurants’ recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
  • Assists with daily decisions involving time management, staff scheduling and support, recruiting and development of team members, upholding product quality, cleanliness, and other Company standards.
  • Ensures and/or maintains the safety and cleanliness of all food preparation, service, and work areas, tools, and facilities.
  • Executes schedules, managing inventory controls and food and labor costs.
  • Exercises excellent judgement in cost control, inventory levels, and labor management.
  • Assists with training and onboarding new hires to make sure they understand their roles.
  • Understands and effectively trains others on the Point of Sale (POS) and the Human Capital Management software.
  • Responds to customer questions and complaints, troubleshooting problems with services or food items as they arise.
  • Gathers comments, feedback, and other data about food and service quality; communicates to upper management.
  • Demonstrates teamwork within the organization, taking initiative and using sound judgement.
  • Displays a professional image, conduct, and Company reputation.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Trains, schedules, and supervises all kitchen and food services staff
  • Collaborates with GM and/or HR Consultant to recruit and hire personnel

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND KEY COMPETENCIES

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, such as hospitality, culinary arts, dietetics, or nutrition preferred.
  • Prior work experience in a restaurant or the hospitality industry.
  • 4+ years of full-service restaurant kitchen experience with a demonstrated and steady increase in responsibility.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 6+ months experience managing budgets and culinary cost controls.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require some evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.
  • Must have hands on experience with food inventories and good understanding of all that impacts food cost.
  • Working knowledge of food service and nutritional guidelines.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of software applications, especially MS Excel.
  • Exceptional communications and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior organizational skills and capable of multi-tasking daily.
  • Flexible, dependable, and adaptable.
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIRED LICENSES & PHYSICAL ABILITIES

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a thorough criminal background check.
  • Capable of lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk, and squat.
  • In addition to the essential job duties stated above, the ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others, including guests and co-workers, are essential functions of the job. The work environment includes flashing and flickering lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises.

Pay: $35,600.00 - $40,000.00 per year

Monday: Flex Day. Needs to work 9 hours to complete inventory, etc., but can come in at any time to get tasks done. Can also complete remote functions from home if desired.
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: 2:30pm-9:30pm (7 hours)
Thursday: 2:30pm-9:30pm (7 hours)
Friday: 2:30pm-10:30pm (8 hours)
Saturday: 9:00am-6:00pm (9 hours)
Sunday: Off
Will get one weekend off per month
