Job Type: Full Time
Salary: $16 an hour depending on experience

Kitchen Assistant is responsible for daily preparation of wholesale marijuana food items, cooking food products, product development, packaging, waste disposal and sanitation of the kitchen.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Weighs and mixes ingredients according to recipes for various infused products. Basic math skills required.
• Record production and test data on the computer for inventory. Also update procedures such as processing steps, temperature, cooking time, batches processed and test results.
• Restocks all items as needed throughout shift. Prepares a supply list of items needed for purchasing weekly.
• Clean, wash and sterilize equipment and cooking area, using water hoses, cleaning or sterilizing solutions, or rinses according to sink sign instructions.
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization weekly of kitchen floors, coolers and all storage areas.
• Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to industry and company specifications.
• Assisting with the monitoring of inventory.
• Ability to work independently at times.
• Storing ingredients according to prescribed food safety.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Use calculator and basic math skills.
Ability to understand weights and measurements.
Able to work well with others in a cooperative manner and good communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ year of commercial kitchen experience preferred.
