Job Responsibilities:

• Engage each neighbor to ensure they receive outstanding friendly service, whether in-store or curbside
• Plan, assign, and direct duties during shift, including ensuring the accurate completion of all opening and closing activities
• Maintain solid product knowledge and keep current with new product introductions
• Handle neighbor-related issues as they arise and determine resolution and communicate all issues and resolutions to Store Team Leader
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with LH Mercantile policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Have a genuine passion for pets and an interest in pet care and nutrition
• Have solid communication abilities with leadership skills with an attention to detail
• Have 2+ years of retail experience with an interest in a leadership role
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Be able to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays as needed

About Pet Supplies Plus

LH Mercantile, LLC is a franchisee of Pet Supplies Plus that currently has 14 locations throughout the Chicago suburbs and Northwest Indiana. We provide curbside pickup, delivery/autoship services as well as self-service dog washes and full-service grooming salons. We offer an array of pet foods, supplies and accessories for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish and small animals. However, we’re mostly proud of our knowledgeable team, who love pets and are eager to help pet parents.

Pay: $15 - $18 / hour
