Job Title: Kafka Administration

Location: Richardson, TX or Buffalo Grove, IL (Must sit onsite 2-3 days / wk)

Reports To: Engineering Manager

Summary:

We are looking for a talented and experienced C2H Kafka Resource to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Confluent Kafka and its ecosystem, as well as experience with cloud computing platforms. The C2H Kafka Resource will be responsible for the administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Confluent Kafka infrastructure. They will also be responsible for developing and deploying Kafka applications.

Responsibilities:

• Administration of Confluent Kafka infrastructure
• Monitoring and troubleshooting of Confluent Kafka infrastructure
• Development and deployment of Kafka applications
• Working with other team members to design and implement Kafka solutions
• Staying up-to-date on the latest Confluent Kafka and cloud computing technologies
• Documenting Kafka solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• 3+ years of experience with Confluent Kafka
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or C++
• Experience with scripting languages (shell, Python)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (Jenkins)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
