Junior Photo Assistant + Editor
Hirshleifers is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated product photographer and photo re-toucher who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Photo Assistant
This position is for a photo retoucher + photo studio assistant who will be responsible for editing and retouching clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and accessories as well as occasionally photographing product or assisting other members of the photo team. This role will work closely with our in-house photo team to edit multiple high-quality shots of each garment, required to meet quality and consistency standards for our ecommerce website. We will edit up to 100 products each day. Focus, productivity, teamwork, and time management are essential.
Editing
Candidate must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop and must be confident in their skills using, but not limited to, the following tools:
- Pen tool
- Liquify
- Clone Stamp
- Spot Healing Brush
- Patch Tool
- Quick Mask
Our editing workflow is very straightforward and relatively simple, but only if you are comfortable using these tools.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Edit items as soon as they’re photographed.
- Communicate and collaborate with photo team to manage workload, priorities, shot requirements.
- Review images with team, present work to photo department manager and ecommerce manager to collect and implement feedback.
- Edit photos and assign to products in our inventory tracking program.
Hire will work under the direction and supervision of our photography department head.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20 - $22 an hour, depending upon experience

Schedule: Mon-Fri 9:30am-6pm on-site in Manhasset, NY.
Reliable personal transportation required.
