OVERVIEW:
As a Junior Auto Engineer, you’ll report to the Manager, Auto Testing and Insights. Based at our 327-acre Auto Test Center in Colchester, Connecticut, you’ll work alongside other Auto Testers, as well as, colleagues from the Data Intelligence, Journalism and Communications team to test, capture and record the data that contributes to how we evaluate all things auto.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
This position requires the engineer to lend a critical eye in updating our database to make sure our information is correct and up-to-date, researching market data and trends that can inform our content and proofreading the copy for all our print and digital publications. It will also include test driving and evaluating the vehicles and emerging technologies.
Since we purchase every vehicle we test from a dealership, you’ll also get to assist in that process, too, including making sure that vehicles purchased are tracked for delivery.

The target salary range for this position is $69.5K to $75K. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. You’ll Be Highly Rated If:
You’ve got the education We’re looking for someone who has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Science or the equivalent.- You’re Data Driven. You’re comfortable analyzing data and presenting what you’ve learned
- You’re communicative. You are able to articulately communicate technical and non-technical information, both verbally and in writing.
- You’re licensed. You must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- You’re a Power User. You’ve mastered Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint and know your way around a Google Doc.
