Job Description
Summary: The main function of an accountant is to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. A typical accountant is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare, examine or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
- Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements.

Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
- Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
- 2-4 years financial and/or accounting experience required.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- Need assistance with international tax compliance and data gathering including withholding tax reporting requirements and Form 5471 preparation.

Typical task breakdown:
- Preparation of international tax forms and understanding the withholding tax reporting process and carrying out required duties.

Interaction with team:
- Will interact with team on daily basis through Microsoft Teams Meetings, Email, Chat and live meetings when necessary.

Work environment:
- Hybrid – Will need to meet with team members in Nashville office for training and periodic meetings with the remainder of the time working remotely.

Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required.
- 2-4 years financial and/or accounting experience required.

Technical Skills
(Required)
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply math computation skills including basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Demonstrated ability to use software packages associated with accounting, i.e. tax systems, spreadsheets, graphics, and word processing.
- Advanced personal computer skills.

(Desired)
- Basic understanding of the U.S. international tax implications of subpart F, the foreign tax credit calculation, the earnings and profit calculation, U.S., OECD and local country transfer pricing guidelines.
- An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Nashville, TN 37203: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

• GAAP: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPA (Preferred)
