Cummings Brothers and truck Leasing is seeking an ambitious Accountant to join our team. The Cummings Brothers and truck leasing Accountant position has responsibility for reviewing financial statements, journal entries, completing variance analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for management and reporting of financial data of an organization. Their duties include preparing financial statements, examining and analyzing a company’s accounts and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.

Major Responsibilities:

• Maintains financial records and financial statements and prepares various monthly consolidated financial reports and analysis.
• Investigates material, sometimes complex, for various balance sheet fluctuations, and document differences for management.
• Prepare process measures to monitor sources that feed general ledger.
• Reconcile sub-system to general ledger to provide support for balance sheet accounts
• Prepare financial analysis to support financial position of Cummings Brothers Leasing and truck repair.
• Process and submit weekly Employee Payroll, familiar with ADP.
• Understand and comply with all regulations that affects the accounting department, and perform tasks accurately, fairly and in accordance with local, state and federal statutes
• Monthly preparation, review, and sign-off of balance sheet reconciliations
• Accounts Payable
• Provide a timely accounting of all receivable statements monthly, including reconciliation and follow-ups with collections
• Drive process improvements and implement solutions, controls, and measures.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Strong organization, attention to detail and analytical skills required
• At least 10 years experience in the field of accounting required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required
• Experience with AS400 and/or OneStream XF preferred
• Strong communication skills required
• Strong team player and self-driven individua
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Cummings employment application
• Background Check required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,885.00 - $68,844.00 per year
